OVER THE TOP ROOFING
TPO Roofing
Somewhat similar to PVC, TPO membranes are made from (ThermoPlastic Olefin) or polyolefin applied over a reinforcing scrim. White is again the color most commonly used as it offers excellent solar reflectivity. Both PVC and TPO are highly tear resistant and TPO laps are also welded together using hot air.
TPO Roofing Systems combine the long-term durability rubber provides with the security of hot air welded seams. TPO’s advantages include:
TPO roofing systems are the most environmentally friendly of the single-ply systems.
They produce no dioxins or chlorine.
Membranes come in varying thicknesses to meet your specific requirements and are available in varying roll widths.

Cost of TPO Roofing
The cost of TPO roofing in the US can vary depending on a number of factors, including the size and pitch of the roof, the region where the roof is located, and the type of TPO membrane used. However, in general, TPO roofing systems tend to be less expensive than other types of commercial roofing systems. For example, a recent study found that the average cost of TPO roofing was about 20% lower than the cost of PVC roofing. The same study also found that TPO roofing systems tended to last longer than PVC roofs, with an average lifespan of over 30 years. As a result, TPO roofing can be a very cost-effective option for commercial buildings.
